I am not so old that I don't remember 8th grade graduation. I remember going to Rexburg (ID) to some formal dinner like thing in a formal dress (gunny sack dress in it's finest I am sure)other than that....well maybe I am getting old.
8th grade, the glorious step to the next adventure of life~ high school. Which in the life of an 8th grader is a big thing. And today and yesterday for Anna just couldn't come soon enough. She is convinced that the small dramas of junior high will soon disappear ( I haven't really broke it to her that it might not be the case....).
But I, like her, remember thinking GOOD RIDDANCE. I hated Junior High (8th grade memory brings my first and only fight...I had braces on at the time...need I say much more....my mom simply laughed when she looked at me...I am assuming thinking I had learned my lesson...which also included the wooded paddle in the principals office.
So just like that in a one hour ceremony Junior High for the Kraft family is OFFICIALLY over... (I survived a Junior High kid...girl to boot....)
and in all seriousness I am very proud of my young lady.
And as a friend just posted on hers....it only does get better....nothing better than watching who they become! Look out Laurel Locos....Anna is on her way!
