Ok! Twice in a week!! Well, yesterday I actually took the camera, shot the pictures, left the camera at the store!! NO KIDDING!!!! To say I have screamed a bit this morning is an understatement. On a happy note my post was going to go something like this......
GREAT THINGS COME IN A BOX
I was then going to proceed to tell you how when I was in Denver a few weeks ago I accidently left my blankie and pillow, WHICH GO EVERYWHERE WITH ME, at the hotel. ( I know your thinking I have a memory problem....probably would have to agree lately)(which actually makes the story somewhat more appropriate). How lucky for me they actually saved my blankie....hey I didn't even tell them it was my daughters or some big story so it wouldn't look like I needed my blankie and pillow.
Next, I was going to show all the AWESOME freight we have been getting. Starting with some AWESOME pictures, AWESOME candles etc etc etc. So I guess you know what is store for tomorrow!!! I apologize for my LACK OF MEMORY!!!! Happy Day Friends!!!
Let's start with the bad. I have this really bad habit. I know not to worry if it is only one, of waiting till the last minute before I leave work to take pictures for my next days blog. Usually turning out ok, until I stand at the counter and talk too much, time runs out, and I have to be at clogging before I get the picture taken. That would be the pure and simple reason that I missed posting yesterday.
But on a good note, I got to work with Jackie yesterday. I can't even begin to tell you how much I have missed her. It's been several weeks sinch my last post that she has been able to come back to work. Hopefully this time we are back on schedule!!!! Love that lady!
On another good note, a couple of friends dropped by and said hi at work and had lunch with me at the store. Love these girls!
And on the MOST AMAZING MOMENT OF THE DAY..............
It goes something like this. I am addicted to my cars seat warmers. ADDICTED! Summer, spring, winter, fall, day, night, afternoon, I have it on. Well that is UNLESS IT DOESN'T WORK!!!! Which as of the past YEAR has been the case. I know, I know, just go get it fixed. I have tried on numerous occasions to try to gerryrig it, because I am sure it is a loose wire, to no avail. And well, I have already done that a couple of times leading to an over 500.00 bill each time. So I figure, ok I can live without the seat warmer and look forward to the days Brad drives me somewhere so that I can sit in the passenger seat with it on. (same with Lynda driving, although HER SEAT WARMER DOESN'T GET THAT HOT AND IT GOES OFF!!! ANNOYING!)
So yesterday, I go to pick up Jackie to go to work. We of course are talking a mile a minute. I of course, tease her there is a ton of ironing to do....(oh which that is another good story I will have to tell in a minute) and all the sudden I start to feel this wonderful warmth on my behind area. I am thinking to myself there is NO WAY the sun beam can be that warm. I slowly take my eyes off the road only to look down and discover that the little tiny light is GLOWING!!! YES GLOWING!!! At this point trust me, the angels are singing HALLELUJAH!!!!! MIRACLE I SAY! PURE MIRACLE!!! Only explanation being that when after what may have been a year I vacuumed my car, and maybe somehow hit the right wire and SOMEHOW when I was getting in my car yesterday hit the little switch. SING WITH ME HALLELUJAH.
I must admit I can be a bit superstitious so I went the ride home without trying it to see if it would work again. Don't want to push fate too much in a day. But let me tell you I can't wait for the ride to work this morn.........
And on the other Happy NOTE! The UPS guy is happy also to see Jackie. SO I am telling him my corn truck FYI.....that a recent study (no kidding on the news in the corn truck) showed that a HUGE percent of women thought their UPS guy was cute. And how that really didn't hold true for our ups guy.....which of course is a total lie....he is a dolly!!! SWEETEST UPS GUY EVER. And you will never guess what he brought!!???!!! A HUGE BOX OF CLOTHES THAT NEED IRONING!!!!!! Ok, maybe you had to be there but I am sure it was God's way of welcoming Jackie back to work.
And on a funny note
so that's why I don't like water!!!

I love how homecoming is rooted in traditions. Laurel's is filled with the parade , fireworks, dance. I remember in Idaho the spirit week with the halls decked out in a theme, cramming as many people into a car for a contest. In Lima, it was a huge bomb fire, the right of passage of the seniors going to the top of the mountain to paint the L that you see as you enter the town. What's your homecoming memories?????

And finally, I am outraged by the killing of the trout in Yellowstone only to be replaced by other trout!! taxpayer dollars at it's finest. Yes, I got my share of news and talk radio!!!
But on a very happy note. WE ARE DONE CHOPPING CORN! Can't really explain what that feels like after a long season of hard work to have your crops harvested. A little haying today, off to the Valley to work calves tomorrow and Sunday and then back at it MONDAY!!! HAPPY DAY !!!!

I had the heater on every place I went yesterday. Was I just complaining that it was too hot??? Cause yesterday I missed the sun!!! Is it asking too much to have a beautiful long fall? A fall filled with 75ish degree weather, beautiful fall colors, pumpkins on the vine, corn chopped with open fields as far as you can see, and lots of golden sun!!! Whose kiddin' if I hadn't had yesterday I wouldn't have felt the urge to mix things up and that is always a good feeling!
I guess whether I am ready or not it is Sept, the middle of. Hard to believe soon Oct and then of course in retail you skip Nov and go right to Dec. Fall is coming in every day and while we might not be ready to give up our flip flops, I love stuff like this that make the transition easier.
You may remember our funky little hair scarves from this spring. Well not to fear they are even better for fall.

And with the SWEATER....OMG by golly! Don't know what I am more in LOVE WITH! So with that, HAPPY DAY! It does feel like fall outside this morn.....
You may not know it but I hate swimming. Probably because I can't swim! (go figure) Just not a real water fan. Picture wash cloth over my face so water doesn't get on my face in the shower!!
And lately while all is good, I feel a bit like I am swimming. Maybe a few to many things going, maybe that time of year. Corn chopping around the corner, (first load for me last Sunday as we opened up some fields) club calves to get broke for NILE, and then add in work things that need done. My new endeavour is also taking a bit more time getting in the swing of things than I expected. (the learning curve of an over 40 brain is kinda interesting) Then feeling a bit guilty over the lack of BLOGGING as of late. (promise it is at the top of my to get back in the swing of things category).
But I am also learning that along with "swimming" comes the sun! Can't wait to get working with those calves. (we have a heifer calf(a girl) that has an attitude....let's see if I can bring her around). Love getting into corn chopping, just me and my talk radio (minus the CB telling me what I may be doing WRONG). Can't wait to go to the back room today and get out a ton of new stuff. And while I feel a bit over whelmed with "NEW" I LOVE NEW CHALLENGES and know before to long I will be in the swing of thing!!!
So hope you can bare with me and know I am just learning how to SWIM again. Hey why not jump in the POOL with me, maybe it is not all bad!!!!

Dedicated to spoiling every scrapper with an atmosphere of creativity, relaxation, and a whole lot of fun, we'll be camping at the Big Horn Resort (formerly Wingate) in Billings.
Scrap Camp offers you 3 days and 2 nights of unlimited scrapbooking. That's right, unlimited, we never close the scrapbook room for you to scrap your favorite memories, spend time with your friends, and learn new scrapbooking techniques- all according to your schedule. We guarantee you will have fun "Sisters Style".
Your $150 fee includes Friday dinner, Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner, Sunday Contintenal breakfast, and all the snacks and beverages you can consume. You get access to classes by guest instructor, plenty of space, a creative atmosphere and much, much more. The room is available Friday morning at 9:00 for you to scrap at your leisure. Keep going until Sunday at 4:00. Your registration also entitles you to 10% off your shopping at Sisters (and camp) beginning the Thursday before. Just in time for all the new CHA arrivals. Optional classes will be held on Saturday and offered at an additional price. The class descriptions and the schedule will be emailed prior to camp. Class kits are limited so it is a good idea to sign up early. Payment is due at that time. Classes require additional supplies.
